Edna Alverson, 86, a resident of Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Russell Springs and a former resident of Nicholasville, died Friday at Russell Springs Hospital. A native of Jessamine County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas R. and Fannie Brooks Alverson and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include a brother, Welch Alverson, Lexington, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were Monday at Maple Grove Cemetery, Nicholasville, with Rev. Walter Applegate officiating.
