Marjorie Clara Vowell, 97, of Taylorsville, MS, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm , on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, MS. Rev. Joseph Bird will officiate. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery.
Mrs. Vowell is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lamar Vowell; grandson, Charles William "Bucky" Bryant; parents, John and Jennie Lyckman, Brady, TX; sisters, Gibret Lyckman, Brady, TX and Jeanette Andrews, Junction, TX and brothers, Edward Lyckman, Boyd Lyckman and John Lyckman, all of Brady, TX.
Survivors include her daughters, Rita Sue Hodges (Barry), Calhoun City, MS; Beverly Bryant (Mike), Taylorsville, MS; grandchildren, Scott Hodges, Calhoun City, MS, Susan Hodges, Calhoun City,MS, Lamar Hodges, West Point, MS, Jennie Bird (Joseph), Meridian, MS, Greg Bryant, Taylorsville, MS and Heather Bryant, Petal, MS; great-grandson, Nicholas Hodges, West Point, MS; brothers, Otis Lyckman, Minard, TX, Warren Lyckman, Hillsboro, TX and Alvin Lyckman, Austin, TX; sister-in-law, Bonnie Vowell, Taylorsville, MS and numerous nieces and nephews.
