Voneal married Paul A. Kendall Feb. 21, 1957. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She began her career with Mountain Bell Telephone Company as an operator and retired as a dispatcher for U.S. West with over 25 years of service.
She was an avid crocheter and loved cooking and bottling foods; but most of all she enjoyed being the world's greatest mother, grandmother and aunt.
Voneal's parting counsel was for her family to love everyone unconditionally and get along.
Voneal is survived by her husband, four children: Cindy Kendall of Spanish Fork, UT, Todd P. (Kathy) Kendall of Springville, UT, Alan R. (Lora) Kendall of Pleasant Grove, UT and Craig N. (Ann) Kendall of Columbia Falls, MT; sisters, Colleen Thatcher and Lenna Mackey, both of Orem, UT and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Dee and Max; and brothers-in-law, Bob Thatcher and Bob Mackey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 23, in the Mapleton Fifth Ward (White Church), 31 W. Maple (corner of Maple Street and Main Street), Mapleton. Friends may call at the church Thursday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
