Age 71, died early Sunday evening at his residence.

Son of Edgar C. and Helen (Piper) Magill. He married Lois J. Beegle Dec 15, 1956, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry.

He retired in 1993 from Allegheny Township as a foreman and sanitation inspector with 30 years service.

He was a 1954 graduate of Hollidaysburg Senior High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

Mr. Magill enjoyed being a locksmith. He was a life member of the Allegheny Township, East Freedom and Duncansville Volunteer Fire companies. He also was a member of the Blair County Fire Police.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, two daughters and two brothers; Donald of Johnson City, NY, and Robert of Lily. He was preceded in death by a brother; Edgar Clayton Magill Jr. April 25, 2006.

Friends were received at Sorge Funeral Home where a firemen's memorial service was held. Funeral Services with military honors was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday the the funeral home by the Rev. Robert L. Rupp. Committal at New St. Mary's Cemetery.
