Son of John Denson Smith and Sarah Lois Bivin Smith, Danny Smith was a native of Hollins and former resident of Prattville, Alabama. He moved back to Clay County six years ago.
Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked in the maintenance department at Standard Forge and at Axle and Kimball International Furniture Company. He was currently employed with the City of Oak Grove as a bus driver for the senior citizens program.
He is survived by his wife, five daughters, four sons and 18 grandchildren.
