John Douglas Smith Jr, died at the Coosa Valley Medical Center Nov 11, 2011.
He was an avid race fan and raced for 20 years at the Talladega Short Track.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, John D Smith Sr, and Loise Bivins.
Mr Smith is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Smith of Sylacauga; son, Anthony (Mary) Smith of Sylacauga; daughter, Cindy (Kevin) Pruitt of Alpine; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
