Nancy was born October 5, 1944 in Alva, Woods County, OK. She was the 5th child born to Thomas S. and Ruth A.(Smith) Munyon.
Nancy was 2 years old when she moved with her family from Alva, Oklahoma to Glendale, Oregon. She was raised and educated in Glendale. August 1961, Nancy married John L. Hatton in Reno, NV. John had relocated from Sims, AR. to Glendale, where he met Nancy.
During their 50 years of marriage Nancy and John lived in Glendale, Azalea, and Myrtle Creek. They lived a short time in Sims, AR.
Nancy was a homemaker. She took care of her and John's 4 sons and the family home while John worked. John played the guitar and often sang to Nancy. Nancy enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, playing cards, clothes shopping, and organizing picnics with her family. One of her favorite dishes to prepare was banana pudding. She made it the Oklahoma way with sliced bananas and nilla waffers. Nancy loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by: husband, John; sons, Johnny, Tony, Terry, and Dennis Hatton all of Myrtle Creek. Two brothers: Thomas L. Munyon of Coos Bay and Wayde C. Munyon of Roseburg; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
Nancy is preceeded in death by: parents Thomas S. and Ruth A. Munyon; 3 brothers, Jeddy Munyon, Raymond Munyon; Samuel Munyon; 2 sisters, Gladys McManus and Anna Mae Dancer; three grandchildren: Tony, Jr., Shantell and Stephen Hatton.
Nancy is loved and missed. She has gone to heaven to be with our Heavenly Father.
