Ervin S. Smale, 91, of Kunkletown R. 1, a farmer for many years, died Tuesday in Palmerton Hospital. His wife, Edna (Smith) Smale, died in 1968.
Born in Kresgeville, a son of the late David and Catherine Smale, he was a member of Salem-St. Paul Lutheran Church, Kresgeville.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruth, wife of Earl Borger, and Orpha, wife of Stanley Serfass, both of Kresgeville; a son Lawrence of Kunkletown R. 1; two sisters, Cassilia Shafer of Kresgeville and Lillie Christman of Lehighton R. 3, and three grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
