Michael Douglas Claiborne, 35, of the Hillsboro Community, died Monday, April at St. Thomas Hospital. Mr. Claiborne was born in Davidson County and was a lifelong resident of Williamson County. He was also a painter with his family business, Claiborne Painting Co. Survivors include his two sons, Michael Joseph Claiborne and Matthew Douglas Claiborne, both of Columbia; parents, Clifton and Annis Claiborne of Columbia; three brothers, Clifton (Petey) Claiborne of Fairview, Tony Claiborne of the Millview Community and Harry Claiborne of Primm Springs; and grandmother, Lettie Claiborne of Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Loyd Nash officiating. Burial will follow in Leipers Fork Cemetery. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at the funeral home. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
