Hazleton Standard Speaker, Monday, October 12, 1970:
G. Stuart Brandau, 57, of 1268 Teahouse Drive, Clearwater, Fla., a former employe of the Humble Oil Co., died at his home Friday at 4:45 p.m. following a heart attack. He was born in this city, the son of the late George M. and Catherine Huey Brandau. Brandau resided in this city until 1940 when he moved to Bloomsburg, then resided in Harrisburg prior to taking up residence in Florida a year ago. He was a 1931 graduate of Hazleton High School, and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Clearwater, Fla.

He is survived by his widow, Gertrude, one sister, Mrs. Charles (Lois) Vanderbeek, Roselle Park, N.J., and one brother, James, this city.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home with the Rev. Byard J. Ebling officiating. Interment will be in Vine Street Cemetery. Friends may call today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
