In December of 1880 the Colvin family arrived at Brigham City. Lachoneus had secured a job working on the Atlantic & Pacific Railroad and the family followed him in his work, living in a tent. While living in Brigham City baby Charles Franklin died and a year later Annie Frances gave birth to a baby son, Henry Sands. The baby lived only a short time and Annie Frances died the following day, June 18, 1882. The two were buried together in the Brigham City Cemetery.
