Helen Masterson, 71, of Nebo died Friday, June 8, 2001, in Illini Hospital at Pittsfield.

Born July 18, 1929 in Belleview, she was a daughter of George and Winnie Gates Swearingin. She married Robert W. "Bob" Masterson on Feb. 2, 1977 in Nebo and he survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Larry Anderson of Trenton and Paul Anderson of Buzzards Bay, Mass.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Shirley Bass of Worden and Joanne Wogan of New Port Richey, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Willard J. Anderson, and two sons, Gerald Anderson and Hughie Anderson.

Mrs. Masterson was a homemaker and a member of the Mozier Church of Christ.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Ward-Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill with Andy Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Anderson Cemetery near Nebo. Pallbearers were Terry Gratton, Terry Anderson, Larry Anderson Jr., Paul Anderson, Tony Anderson and Jerry Foster.
