Bob Masterson, 73, Nebo, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

He was born April 20, 1932 in Plainville to Robert William and Alma Ruby Personett. He married Helen Anderson Feb. 2, 1977 in Nebo and she preceded him in death June 8, 2001. He married Betty Dunn and she also preceded him.

He had been a longtime employee of Stark Brothers Nursery, retiring in 1994.

He enjoyed antique tractors and cars and was an avid farmer.

He is survived by two stepsons, Larry Anderson of rural Nebo and Joe Anderson of Buzzards Bay, Mass.; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Masterson of Pleasant Hill; three sisters, Lucy Foster of Nebo, Mary Buchaltz of Louisiana, Mo. and Martha Hart of New Canton. He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepfather, Hardy Wilcox; both wives; a sister, Nancy Sealock; a brother, Jake Masterson; and two stepsons, Gerald Anderson and Hughie Anderson.

Graveside services were held Monday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Anderson Cemetery near Nebo with Bro. Don Hannel officiating. Burial was at the cemetery. Visitation was held Monday from noon until 1:30 p.m. at Ward-Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill.

Memorials are to the National Arthritis Foundation.
