Wilburn E. Black, 66, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, in a Chattanooga hospital.

He was of the Christian faith and attended Victory Lane Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgetta Black in 2009; parents, John and Ollie Rogers Black; and sister, Carolyn Thomason.

He is survived by his children: Terry E. Black of Cleveland and Lori A. Cook and husband, Greg, of Macon, Ga.; three grandchildren: Chastin Cook, Landry Cook and Eben Cook, all of Macon; one sister, Martha Callahan; two brothers: Ricky Black and wife, Glenda, and Tony Black, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Revs. W.C. Vaughn and Leonard Dodson officiating.

Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with his CB friends: "American Dream" Roger Cissom, "Thunderbolt" Bobby Cissom, "Hot Rod" Dave Cagle, "Little Cannonball" Bruce Maynard, "Clyde" Dean Herron and "Shonce" Lonnie Raines serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
