Frank Burant Obituary

Funeral services for Frank Burant, age 77, a resident of the town of Sharon for 65 years, who died Monday morning at 8 o'clock at the home of his son, Joe Burant, in Sharon, will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at Sacred Heart Catholic church at Polonia. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The body is at the Joe Burant home where the rosary will be said tonight and Wednesday night at 8 o'clock. Mr Burant had been in ill health for 11 years. He was confined to bed continuously for the past five weeks.

A native of Poland, Mr Burant, was born on September 16, 1862. He came to this country 65 years ago and located on a farm in Sharon at that time. His marriage to Marciana Somionka took place at Sacred Hearth church on February 1,2 1885, and the couple located at the present farm home, now owned by the son, where they lived until their deaths. Mrs Burant died on February 28, 1939.

Surviving are 10 children, Joe Burant at the homestead, William and Mike of Stevens Point, Rev Felix Burant, Theodore Burant and Miss Mary Burant of New York city, Ref Alex Burant of Trenton, New Jersey, Mrs Rose Dombrowski and John Burant of Milwaukee and Mrs Matt Skupniewicz of the town of Dewey, a brother, Adam Burant of Sharon, a sister Mrs Anna Hintz of Stevens Point, 37 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mr Burant was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Rosary society of Sacred Heart church and St Isadore's society.
