Lila Blanche Campbell, the daughter of Joseph and Maize (Bergsma) Spick, was born at Wick, Iowa, on October 1, 1932, and passed away at Omaha, Nebraska, on July 9, 1985, at the age of 52 years, 9 months and 8 days.

She graduated from Martensdale High School, at Martensdale, Iowa, and on June 10, 1950, she was united in marriage to Clarence Campbell, at Wick, Iowa.

After her marriage she and Clarence served churches in Wallace-Grainton from 1956 to 1961, Lincoln from 1961 to 1966, Ord from 1966 to 1972, Tekamah-Decatur from 1972 to 1977, Aurora from 1977 to 1981, and since 1981, has been District Superintendent, Northwest District, The United Methodist Church, with residence at Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Lila was a member of the Scottsbluff 1st United Methodist Church and was a legal secretary and homemaker.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Clarence; 2 daughters, Marcia Eriksen of Schuyler and Laurie Campbell of Lincoln; son, Paul Campbell of Lincoln; and granddaughter Amanda Eriksen. Nancy Jordan, of Lincoln, had made her home with Clarence and Lila since her junior year in high school. Also surviving and 2 brothers, Bud and John Spick, both of St. Charles, Iowa; 3 sisters, Ina Miller of Fort Worth, Texas, Dorthea Dunn of Carlisle, Iowa and Jane Harper of Des Moines, Iowa and many other relatives and a host of friends.
