WILLIAM N. ST. JOHN, 62 years old, of 1620 Madison street, died yesterday morning at 9 o'clock at Riverside hospltal, following a month's illness of Brighrt's disease. His condition had been regarded as critical for several days.

Mr. St. John was born in Smithland, removed from Livingston county to Paducah with his parents when a lad. He was a well known marine engineer and was popular with the rivermen.

Mr. St. John is survived by his widow and three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Price, of Devall's Bluff, Ark.; Mrs, Harold. Lynn, ot Metropolis and Mrs. Herman Pate, of Pa-ducah. His aged, mother, Mrs. S. C. St. John, 84 years old, of 634 South Filth street, also survives. : Three sisters Mrs. W. D. Brown, Mrs. Clarence Leroy, and Mrs. Lillian Jolley and one brother. Capt. J. M. St. John, of Washington, D. C., also survive.

Mr. St. John was devout member of the Fountain Avenue Methodist church. The funeral service will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Fountain Avenue Methodist church the pastor, the Rev E. R. Overby, officiating. The burial will be in Oak Grove cemetey. The pallbearers will be: A. R. Steele, John W. Polk,John B. Davic, L.D. Massey, Herman Karnes, and E. S. Burnham.
