Zachariah Hardin Medford married to #1 Martha Wilkes March 1, 1830 in Limestone Co., Alabama. Married #2 Elizabeth Ward October 7, 1849 in Pontotoc, Pontotoc Co., MS. Married #3 Sarah F. Lane about 1862. He was the father of 23 children. He was buried in a pasture on the Medford homeplace. In later years his headstone was placed in the Hico Cemetery,Hico, Hamilton Co. Texas near his second wife Elizabeth.

This is his grave marker. It is located in Block 3 next to Elizabeth Ward Medford's grave (wife #2.) His name is etched at the bottom of the stone.

You have to look closely at the bottom to see his name. That is all that can be seen on his marker.
