Edna (Kiesecker) Segar, was a former Webster City resident. She was the daughter of Henry and Minnie Jones Kiesecker, born on November 27, 1900 in Webster City. She was raised and educated in Webster City and was married to Benjamin Segar in 1920. To this union she had two sons, Donald Segar and Richard Segar. Ben and Edna later divorced and she moved to Los Angles in 1958 residing with her son Donald. In 1976, they moved to Riviera, AR, where she was residing at the time of her death. Edna had been ill for the last two years of her life and peacefully left to live with Jesus in 1982.

Edna Kiescker Segar was a wonderful woman. She looked at life as an adventure and saw humor in almost everything. She once taught in a one room schoolhouse in the country and told many stories of her teaching experiences. Edna was also a writer, a poet, and a musician. She played the piano, organ, accordian, and could yodel like no other. She was a wife, a mother, a patriot and a friend. She was blessed with many friends and family members who adored her.
