Benjamin was the son of James Seaton and ____________. Benjamin and his wife Mary Elizabeth Bird Seaton are said to be buried on their farm, in Greene County, TN.

Some have his death date as Sept 3, 1858, I have found a 1860 U.S. Mortality Census birth 1789, VA, death as Sept 1859, cause of death; old age, 91 yrs old, Greene County, TN.

Benjamin served in the Revolutionary War as a private in the Rangers on the frontier at Fort Ligonier, Westmoreland County, PA, between 1778 and 1783. (PA Archives, 3rd Series, Vol. 23, p. 213, 318).
