Mr. Sam "Beater" Neathery, age 77, of Burkesville, Ky., passed away Monday January 30, 2012 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Ky. He was born on Monday September 17, 1934 in Clinton County, Kentucky the son of Joseph Beacher and Fairy Fern Coop Neathery. He was a member of Spears Chapel Community Church, a professional trapper, a commercial fisherman, an avid hunter, and a Friend of Bill W. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Kent Baise, his mother-in-law, Lucille Baise, his brother-in-law, Sonny Wimpee, his sisters-in-law, Anita Wimpee and Kaye Hardin. He is survived by his wife, Bobbi Baise Neathery of Burkesville, KY; his children, Douglas Neathery of Livingston, TN, and Michael (and Eva) Neathery of Burkesville, KY; his daughter-in-law, Tina Graham of Burkesville, KY; his grandchildren, Melanie (and Shawn) Stockton, Michael Joe Neathery, and Emily Neathery, his great-grandchildren, Khiara Alexander, Kobe Alexander, Mathew Neathery, and Makinna Stockton. Funeral Services were conducted on Thursday February 2, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Gary E. Cash officiating. Burial followed in the Perkins Cemetery.
