Mrs. Elizabeth S. Rose Murphy

Mrs. Elizabeth Sarah Rose Murphy, aged 80 years, widow of Dennis Murphy, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Cam Huffman, of Waynesburg, R. D. 5, Saturday evening, May 9, 1936, at 7:15 o'clock from complications incident to her advanced years.

The deceased was born and spent her entire life in Franklin Township. She was a daughter of John and Catherine Throckmorton Rees, deceased, and was born August 13, 1855. She is survived by three children: Mrs.Ethel Ely,of Sycamore, R. D. 1; Mrs. Nora G. Huffman, in whose home she died, and a son, John T. Rose, of Fullerton, Calif. One sister, Mrs. Nannie Stout, of Ninevah; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

Private funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs. Huffman on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with additional services at 2:30 in the Throckmorton Methodist Episcopal Church, of which the deceased was a member. The Rev. J. G. Federer of Ninevah, will conduct the services and will be assisted by the Rev.Kenneth Rutter, of Waynesburg. Interment will be in the Rosemont Cemetery.
