Thomas Sumner, a resident of Utah until five years ago, died Sunday at 3 am in New York City.
Mr Sumner, an inventor, was born in England May 2, 1878, a son of James and Elizabeth Whitsides Sumner. He married Bertha Victoria Gee in 1903 in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She died in 1930.
Survivors include a son, Cecil Sumner, and two daughters, Mrs William Marvin, Ogden, and Mrs Ernest Oddie, Los Angeles. Funeral services will be conducted next week at 36 E 7th South.
