Marie Covert Forman passed away very peacefully on Aug. 12, 2006, with her family at her bedside.
She was born in Cleveland, Idaho, on May 13, 1924, to John Wila Covert and Rosanna Charlotte Jorgensen. She was the eighth child of 10 children, all of which preceded her in death. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. We love her deeply and always felt her love and concern for us. Her life was centered around her family, home and her church. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and because of her great love for her Father in Heaven, she served in many callings, some of which were teacher in Primary, member of the Primary presidency and also Sunday School secretary.
She married her childhood sweetheart, Boyd Forman, on Nov. 22, 1939, and was later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1960. When they moved to Kearns, they raised her brother's four children along with their own two daughters.
Marie is survived by four daughters and one son, Lorie (Ron) Spreadborough of California, Karen (Joe) McKay of Bountiful, Utah, Judy (Roland) Williams and Brenda (Jim) Bradbury, both of Sandy, Utah, Steve (Rhonda) Covert of West Jordan, Utah; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her loving husband; son, Leonard; and grandson, LeLon Boyd.
Marie's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at the Kearns 5th Ward chapel, 5025 W. 4865 South. There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, and from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to give thanks to Enlightened Days Caregivers and Destiny, Myrna, Lori, Nidia, and Odyssey Hospice for the loving care they gave Marie.
