North Augusta, S.C. - Mrs. Rebecca S. Wegner, 72, wife of Louis Wegner, of Loblolly Court, entered into rest Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at University Hospital.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2003 at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Rice officiating.

Mrs. Wegner was born in Winnsboro, and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a Past-President of the Rivers Edge Sertoma Club and in 2000 she was the recipient of the Sertoma Clubs International Secretary of the Year Award. She was a volunteer for the Community Ministries of North Augusta and for the Food Kitchen in Augusta. She was a retired Executive Secretary at EI DuPont and Westinghouse after forty years and a secretary for the Board of Stewards at Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jim M. Buice, Jr. and his wife, Laura of Williston, and Tim W. Buice and his wife Sallie of Lexington; three daughters, Janet R. Nesmith and her husband Jerry of Mt. Pleasant, Cheri B. Barnes and her husband John of Augusta, and Wendi C. Wegner of Charleston; one brother, Rudy Starnes of Williston; three sisters, Fronnie Sample and Linda Pye, both of Charleston and Sandra Britt of Myrtle Beach; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
