Stanley Lynd PATCH, 49, R.R. 1, Macy, died at 7:15 a.m. today at his Nyona Lake residence of amatrophic lateral sclerosis, a form of muscular dystrophy. He had been ill one year. Born to Paul and Cleo PATCH in Brockton, Mont., Sept. 4, 1916, Mr. Patch moved to Indiana in May of 1957 and to Nyona Lake the next year. He was married Dec. 24, 1940 in Sand Creek, Mont., to LaBertha Marie THORNBURG, who survives. He was an employee of the Midland Lumber company at Peru. Surviving with the wife are a son, Keith Stanley [PATCH], Nyona Lake; three daughters, Jane Marie, Marilyn Kay and Diana Jean, all of Nyona Lake; the father, Paul PATCH, Sidney, Mont.; three brothers, Orin [PATCH], Brockton, Mont., Wendell [PATCH], Sidney, Mont., and Kenneth [PATCH], Fort Wayne, and a sister, Wilma MERCIER, Kalispell, Mont. Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Fulton E.U.B. church with the Rev. Philip ISGRIGG officiating. Burial will be in the Fulton Citizens' cemetery. Friends may call at the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in Fulton after 7 o'clock tonight until 11 a.m. Friday and at the church from 1-2 p.m. Friday. The family requests that remembrances other than flowers be in the form of contributions to the muscular dystrophy fund.
