Barbara Ingram Anthony Carpenter, 79, of Mt. Blanchard died at 4:55 AM Sunday, January 29, 2012 at The Heritage. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on February 28, 1932 to the late Charles G. and V. Hazel (Brown) Ingram. She married Robert E. Anthony on August 30, 1947 and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1978. She then married Claude G. "Jerry" Carpenter on July 4, 1979 and he preceded her in death on June 6, 2003. Surviving are three children, Deborah J. (Greg) Beckwith of Winston Salem, NC; Phillip E. (Deb) Anthony and Jan E. (Rick) Rodabaugh, both of Mt. Blanchard, OH; two step-children, Sherry K. Walker (Chuck) Woods of Las Cruses, NM and Lonnie (Sarah) Carpenter of Xenia, OH; 8 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Billie Ruth Kennedy and brother, Dale Ingram. A sister, Mildred Ritchie Sebastian; step-daughter, JerryLyn Carpenter Strasberger and step-grandson, Scott Strasberger also preceded her in death. Her passions in life were her family and her art. Her children and grandchildren all enjoy having some of her art to decorate their homes and passs on to their children. Funeral services will be held at CRATES FUNERAL HOME Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bridge Hospice or to Boy Scouts Troop 314, Mt. Blanchard in her memory.
