Malinda was the daughter of Richard Barker and Charlotte Crockett. She married Hezekiah in Garrard Co. on 30 Aug. 1827. They had ten children.

Malinda died prior to the 1850 Garrard Co. census. All of the children were in the household with Hezekiah and Melinda was not present.

The burial place of Malinda is not known. Hezekiah and Malinda had considerable land in the Sugar Creek area of Garrard close to where they were born. They could be buried on one of the farms. There was a cemetery on the farm of the father of Hezekiah, Zachariah, that was inventoried at one time and lists Zachariah and his wife Mary but does not list Malinda or Hezekiah. The cemetery is listed on Find A Grave. It has been reported that the stones have been removed and placed in a pile in the field.
