Albert Ator died at his home in Pleasant Hill, March 29th, 1939 after an illness of a few weeks caused by heart trouble. He had been in poor health for several months, but his condition became serious a few days ago. He was a son of the late Jacob and Martha Fast Ator, and was born in Martinsburg Township, July 24, 1871, and was 68 and 8 months of age. He spent the early years of his life on a farm in Martinsburg township. For the last fifteen years he had lived in Pleasant Hill. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ida Ator, and four daughters and two sons. The children are: Ray Ator of Quincy, Mrs. Paul Carlton of Pittsfield, Mrs. Irvin Hillman, Mrs. Claud Franklin, Mrs. Berry Goodin and Smith Ator all of Pleasant Hill. He also leaves two brothers, Isaac Ator and John Ator of Pleasant Hill and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Grafford and Mrs. Alvin Windmiller of Pleasant Hill. Mr. Ator was a member of the Christian church at Pleasant Hill where the funeral was conducted on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Homer L. Johnson of Pittsfield. Burial was in Crescent Heights Cemetery.
