He was born May 12,1915 in New Bielau to Otto and Frieda (Poppe) Thumann and married Hilda Pachal,Nov.25,1935.He attended Harmony School and worked as a rancher and for Southern Pacific Railroad.
Funeral services were conducted Dec.15 at Faith Lutheran Church in Weimar with the Rev.Herb Beyer officiating.
Pallbearers were Milton German,Wilbert Thumann,David Smith,Don Rosson,Leon Thumann and Gary Thumann.
Honorary pallbearers were Leonard Thumann and Charlie Hattermann.
