Marshall Earl Shroyer, 52, of Hyndman RD 1, died May 14, 1974, in the VA Hospital in Altoona, where he had been a patient for three weeks.

Born on Hyndman RD 1, he was a son of Mrs. Lucy (Emerick) Shroyer and the late Nathaniel Shroyer.

An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Comps Church.

Surviving, besides his mother, are two sons, Edward and Johnny Shroyer, Cumberland; a brother, Johnny Shroyer, Hyndman RD 1; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Ours, Hyndman RD 1; Mrs. Betty Scritchfield,Gaithersburg, Md.; and Mrs. Shirley Chaney, Hyndman.

Funeral service was held Friday at Comps Church, with Rev. Leroy Logsdon officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Military honors accorded by the Bedford American Legion Honor Guard and members of Oscar Jordan VFW Post.
