Delores Calhoun Clearman
Delores Calhoun Clearman, 75, of Petal, formerly of Laurel, died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel. The Rev. Bill Devine will officiate.
She retired from Masonite Corp. after 29 years of service and was a member of west Laurel Baptist Church. Her friends knew her as Jack.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Calhoun Jr., and second husband, Floyd Clearman.
She is survived by her son, Darrell Calhoun of Eufaula, Ala; two daughters and a son-in-law, Judy and Jim Strickland of Petal and Jamie Proctor of Ellisville, nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Nell Devine of Ellisville; Faithful companion, Vic Walters of Ellisville; and loving caregiver, Carolyn Sims of Laurel.
Pallbearers will be Kale Headrick, Jason Calhoun, Josh Craven, Steve Geddie, Frankie Yates and Adam Harrington.
Visitation will begin at noon Saturday, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of the arrangements.
