Henry Stoppel, retired farmer and Olmsted county resident since 1856, died last night at his home, 940 Eighth avenue SE. He was 91 years old.
Mr. Stoppel was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, October 5, 1854, and married Mary Grimm in Rochester in 1877. She died November 28. A retired farmer 25 years, he has resided three years in Rochester.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Ella Christensen of Rochester and Mrs. Bernie Markham of Oronoco, 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two brothers, Charles of Salem and Frank of Rochester.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Vine funeral home, with Rev. W. W. Velte of Byron officiating and interment in Oakwood cemetery. Arrangements are under direction of E. A. Vine & Sons.
