Mrs. Futrell, a lifelong Muncie resident, died Thursday at Ball Memorial Hospital. She worked as a clerk at the Woolworth store in the 1940's and from 1950-54 she and her husband, Albert R. Futrell, operated Futrell's Grocery at Anthony. She was a charter member of Chapter 44, American War Mothers.
Survivors in addition to her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Norma J. Knebel and Mrs. Sharon A. Brooks, both of Muncie, Mrs. Alice R. Liby, Springport, and Mrs. Mildred R. Mann, Blythesville; two step-daughters, Mrs. Marcella Knote, Selma, and Mrs. Annebelle Flynn, Westwood, N.J.; three sons, Robert E. Meranda, Muncie, Oren K. Meranda, Farmland, and Jack R. Roberts, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; two step-sons, Albert B. Futrell, Huntington, and Raymond W. Futrell, Hartford City; a sister, Mrs. Ruth M. Randall, Muncie; three brothers, John, Carl, and Donald Doyle, all of Muncie; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
