Clydus Sutton

Clydus Sutton, 93, of Lodi died June 19 (2000) at a local hospital. She was born on Dec. 31, 1906 in Parthenon, Ark.

Mrs. Sutton was a teacher for the Newton County School District in Arkansas. She was a member of Grace Brethren Church in Modesto.

She is survived by her daughter, R.H. of San Jose; brothers, H.C. and V.J.C., both of Oklahoma, R.C. of Arkansas, and D.C. of Lincoln; sisters, M.F. of Arkansas and C.P. of Oklahoma, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Committal will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Funeral Chapel.

V. Clydus Sutton, 93, of Lodi died Monday at Lodi Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Sutton was a native of Parthenon, Ark. She lived in Lodi four years and previously lived in Modesto 30 years. She was a teacher in the Newton County School District, Arkansas, for eight years. She was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Modesto.

She is survived by her daughter, R.H. of San Jose; brothers, H.C. and V.J.C., both of Tulsa, Okla. and R.C. and D.C., both of Lincoln, Ark.; sisters, M.F. of Lincoln and C.P. of Webbers Falls, Okla.; and one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm today and from 9 am to 1pm Friday at the funeral home.
