JOHN CLINTON DENNIS

John C. Dennis was born November 19, 1859 at Mt. Carroll, Illinois. He spent 10 years in Alaska during the gold rush. He first came to Kennewick in 1909 and later moved to the coast.
He was married to Mrs. Maude Larkin May 10, 1924 at Portland, Ore., and moved back to Kennewick in 1929 establishing a permanent residence here.
He passed away at his home in Kennewick Sunday, April 30, 1944, at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 11 days. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Maude Dennis, one granddaughter, Mrs. Alma Applegate and two great-grandchildren; six step-children and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held in the Mueller Chapel Wednesday, May 3, 1944, with the Rev. J. A. Pine of the Christian Church in charge. Interment was made in the Riverview Heights Cemetery.
