THE LINCOLN EVENING NEWS-NOVEMBER 25, 1901

TABLE ROCK, NOVEMBER 24-A very pretty and romantic story comes from Humboldt. It will be remembered that several weeks ago Ed Dennis, of Humboldt formerly of this place, who was in "The Islander" wreck on his return from the Klondike, and nearly lost his life (his partner, Will Bracelen being drowned) came home, and after being home a few weeks, started on his return to the Klondike, arriving at Seattle, Wash., he sat down and wrote Miss Kathryn Bracelen, one of the Humboldt belles, and a sister to his late partner, telling her that when home he had lost his nerve and was not able to ask her the one great question one which depended his life's happiness.
Would she marry him and go with him to the Klondike? He would wait her reply. The sequal has been told. Arrangements were soon made and Thursday last, Miss Kittie Bracelen passed through here enroute to Seattle and on Monday, November 15, 1901, in the city of Seattle, Ed M. Dennis and Miss Kittie A. Bracelen will start out on the voyage of matrimony.
