OBITUARY FOR JOHN WILLIAM BROOKS - John William Brooks, 71, of Rossville Route 1, died Friday at 4:45 P.M. in Clinton County Hospital. He had been ill 10 days. Born in Linden he was in the Real Estate business. In 1941 he married Ethyl Friedline, who survives. A daughter, Mrs. Penelope Botkin of Indianapolis, one son, John Brooks of Frankfort, a sister Miss Myrtle l. Brooks of Indianapolis, and a brother Raymond of Lafayette. L. E. Moore and Son funeral home at Frankfort in charge, Sunday services at 2 o'clock. Burial in Green Lawn Cemetery, Frankfort. (Lafayette Journal, Friday October 19, 1951)
