Ruth Marie Louise Troester, 78, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, in Central Community Hospital, Elkader, after a sudden illness. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, First Lutheran Church near McGregor. Burial: Ceres Cemetery near Guttenberg. The Rev. Ruth Ann Shriver will officiate. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Emil; three daughters, Ardell Dietzler of Knoxville, Tenn., and Betty Schwietert and Lorna Troester, both of McGregor; and two brothers, Earl Clefisch of Waverly and Lavern Clefisch of Garnavillo.
