Sylvester Shepherd, a former resident of Harlem Springs and well known in the county, died of heart trouble at his home in Scio after an illness of only a few hours. Death took place last Sunday and burial was made at Harlem Springs, Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Shepherd was born at Kimbolton, Ohio, 71 years ago. He is survived by two sons, James Shepherd of Youngstown, Thomas Shepherd of Canton; one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Magee of Port Washington; also by one sister, Mrs. Thomas Orr who lives in the west. His wife died four or five years ago.
