"LaVern Bork. Mrs. Lester (LaVern) Bork, 58, of Rt. 1, Town of Dupont, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, at University hospital, Madison, following a three month illness.
She was born June 8, 1923 in the Town of Grant, the daughter of the late Herman and Selma Radtke.
On April 28, 1945 she was married to Lester Bork at Marion. She had lived in the Town of Dupont all of her married life. Mrs. Bork had been employed at the Marion Advertiser for the past 14 years.
Mrs. Bork was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and St. Paul's American Lutheran Church Women in the Town of Dupont.
Survivors include her husband, Lester, two daughters, Mary, Mrs. Dan Tews, Menasha; Lois, Mrs. Kenneth Reitz, Green Bay; one son, James Bork, Appleton; three grandchildren; one brother, Ervin Radtke, Bear Creek; and three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Rusch and Elsie, Mrs. John Braatz, both of Shawano, and Erna, Mrs. Roger Tellock, Sheboygan Falls.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 27, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Town of Dupont, with the Rev. William R. Lavann officiating. Pallbearers were Eugen and Dennis Rusch, Mark and Myron Radtke, David and Jeff Tellock. Spring interment will be in Roseland cemetery, Marion.
The Heuer, Sievers, Rhodes and Beil Funeral Home, Marion, assisted the family with arrangements."
