She was born May 9, 1935 in Cookeville, Tennessee to Everett D. and Allie E. Rector Whitson.
She married Charles W. Cunningham on April 10, 1953 in Tennessee.
She later married Thomas H. Steward on Aug. 25, 1995. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sherry T. Cunningham and one brother, Cecil I. Whitson.
She is survived by two sons, Charles W. (Marla) Cunningham Jr., Pontiac and Stephen T. Cunningham, Vero Beach, Florida; one daughter, Kimberley A. (Bill) Meier, Sigourney, Iowa; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Dillard Whitson, Cookeville, Tennessee and two sisters, Mary Alice Stover Whitson, Cookeville, Tennessee and Reba A. Holt, Lebanon, Tennessee.
