Helen, second born daughter of three, third born child of four of Fredrick Morris and Emelia Henrietta (Rathel).

Sister of Adella (DeBoer), Andrew Herman and TWIN of sister Hattie.

Wife of Edward Vavrick, whom she married on October 5, 1915 at Madison, Madison County, Nebraska.

Mother of five, Laurence, Edward Jr., Mary (Harner), Armella and Delores Vavrick.

Mrs. Vavrick Funeral Rites To Be Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Vavrick, 69, residing at 504 S. Ninth St., will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church here.
Very Rev. Peter F. Dunne will be celebrant of the requiem mass and burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery with Howser Mortuary in charge.
The body will lie in state Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and the rosary will be recited there Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
Mrs. Vavrick died Tuesday afternoon at a local hospital after being ill about six weeks.
The former Helen Zessin, Mrs. Vavrick was born and reared near Devils Lake, N.D.
She married Edward Vavrick in October, 1915, in Madison County. They resided at Madison and Spencer until moving to Norfolk in 1942.
Mr. Vavrick died in 1961, and Mrs. Vavrick was also preceded in death by her parents and one daughter.
Surviving are five children, Lawrence and Mrs. Robert Harner of Los Angeles, Calif., Edward Jr. and Mrs. Gene Bomar of Norfolk, and Mrs. Howard Ward of Vancouver, Wash.; and 25 grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters and one brother, a twin, Mrs. Hattie McCann of Boone, Iowa, Mrs. Bernard DeBore of Starkweather, N.D., and Andrew Zessin of Milton - Freewater, Ore.
