Fulton M. Wilemon, 78, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks. He was born June 2, 1933, to Chester and Lena Dulaney Wilemon. He retired from American Motors and had worked at the Illinois Beach State Park as a part-time cook. He was Baptist in belief.

Services were June 17 at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton. Burial was in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors included two daughters, Denise Schonter (David) of Zion, Ill., and Vanessa Mace (Robert) of Lambord, Ill.; one brother, Alfred Wilemon (Pam) of Fulton; two sisters, Becky Weaver (Sydney) of Smithville and Willie R. Abbott of Fulton; four grandchildren, Cassidy Lincicome (Jim), Todd Schonter, Justin Schonter (Cecilla) and Ashley Cunningham; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Etoyce Wilemon, who died April 24, 2000; his parents; four brothers, John, Benny, Leroy and Jack Wilemon; and a sister, Mildred Wilemon.
