Dora was born on October 20, 1927 in Shamrock, Texas and graduated from Kuna High School in Kuna, Idaho. She worked for many years at Kings Packing Company in Nampa and retired when she built her dream home on Greenhurst Road in South Nampa. She loved to hunt, fish, ride horses, bake, and garden.
Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Bell.
She is survived by her sons, Allen Lavelle and Bob Lavelle; four grandchildren: Timothy Lavelle, Alex Lavelle, Justin Lavelle and Jessica Cowan; and two great-grandchildren, Jack Cowan and Jude Cowan.
A service celebrating Dora Bell's life will be held at Alsip & Pearsons Funeral Chapel at 404 10th Avenue South in Nampa on Saturday January 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM and refreshments will be provided. The service will be conducted by Dora's second cousin, Reverend Vern Barnett. All friends and family are welcome.
Suggested edit: Dora's parents were Felix Grundy Woodard (1895-1976) and Eva Lola McAllister (1895-1948). See marriage certificate for Dora and Samuel Bell that shows Dora was divorced and maiden name was Woodard. Birth dates and place is correct as shows. There was a Dora born about 1928 to the parents shown in Find A Grave record but it is not the Dora who married Bell.
