Ann Mary Lentz was the daughter of John Henry Lentz and Sevilla. She married Johannes Martin Spiegel Jr, on August 11, 1805 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. She her husband and children and the Lentz family migrated to North Alabama about 1813-1815. For whatever reasons, Ann Mary and Johannes Martin were divorced in July 1822. Ann Mary and her children remained in North Alabama and Johannes Martin continued on to Kentucky and resided with or near his siblings Catherine Spiegel Fifer and Samuel Spiegel. Ann Mary remarried to Daniel Jacob Speegle (Spiegel) brother of Johannes Martin and resided near Brushy Creek in what is now Cullman County, Alabama. Ann Mary and Johannes Martin had three children, Savannah, John Michael and Henry Speegle. Ann Mary and Daniel Jacob Spiegel (Speegle) had six children, Malinda, Mary Ann, Samuel, Sabillene Sevilla, Adaline and Sara Nan Speegle. Ann Mary died on November 16, 1850 and is buried according to family tradition, in an umarked grave at Brushy Creek Cemetery.
