Neta F. Morris, 80, formerly of Stuart, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born Jan. 5, 1932, in Cabiness, to Aaron Andrew "Red" and Mattie Velma Carcile Sutterfield. She married Ralph Morris Jr. July 3, 1949, in McAlester, and lived most of her life in the Stuart community. She owned several businesses in Stuart but most of her time was spent as a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, playing bunco, game nights with the girls and following sports. Survivors include children, Rick Morris, of the home, Linda Evans and husband, Jerry, of Newalla, Steve Morris, of Atwood, Cindy Nixon and husband, Ralph, of McAlester. Also, eight grandchildren, Lori Bulen and husband, Mark, of Allen, Mary Adams, of Lincoln, Mo., Brett Evans, of Oklahoma City, Shawn Michael Young, of McAlester, Jesse Morris, of Warsaw, Mo., Jared Evans and wife, Lori, of Oklahoma City, Crystal Bear and husband, Mountain, of Calvin, Adrene Davis and husband, Joe, of McAlester. And, 17 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Aaron Hugene Sutterfield and wife, Lou, of Tecumseh; a sister and brother-in-law, Bennadene Harris and husband, James, of Stuart, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Red and Velma Sutterfield; her husband, Ralph Morris, and a sister, Wanda Morris. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Stuart First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Don Brown officiating. Burial will be at Pryor Cemetery in Stuart under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. Pallbearers include Jared Evans, Brett Evans, Wyatt Iker, Adrene Davis, Jesse Morris and Shawn Michael Young. Honorary pallbearers include Gordon Null, Larry Henderson, Tom Ridenour, Vernon Gregg, Gerl Russell and Bobby Brown.
