Anita Ruth (Miller) Spicer Stafford, 94, Cameron, Missouri passed from this life peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Cameron Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. She was born June 20, 1917 in Savannah, Missouri to Arthur Allen and Ida Mae (Moran) Miller. Anita was a graduate of Savannah High School. She was a member of St. John's Church, Amazonia, MO. Anita was busy and involved with life up until the end and was never happier than when surrounded by her family. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, John Macie Spicer and Kenneth Dodson Stafford, 2 brothers, Marion and Paul Miller, and a sister, Alice Shores. She had ran a café in Savannah, and was a bookkeeper at Colberts Plumbing for 18 years. In later years she and Kenny developed Truck Haven Truck Stop in Cameron. Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Allen and Joyce Spicer, Cameron, MO, Gale William and Sherry Spicer, St. Joseph; a daughter, Laura Kay Winkelman, Cameron, MO; a sister, Marjory Cerinich, Longmont, CO; 11 grandchildren, and several great and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Alberta Linck, Mound City, MO; and a host of friends. Celebration of Life: 11:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, MO. Interment will be in Savannah, Missouri Cemetery.
