"CAMERON, Mo. -- Paul Arthur Miller, 86, Cameron, passed from this life on Thursday, November 12, 2009, at the Cameron, Mo., hospital.

Paul was born May 22, 1923, in Savannah, Mo., to Arthur Allen and Ida May (Moran) Miller. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Paul was captured during the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944 and liberated in April 1945. He was a truck driver for Yellow Freight. He enjoyed cars and riding his John Deere tractor. He liked to tinker in his garage. Paul married Mary Grimes on June 26, 1946, in Troy, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Marion Miller; a sister, Alice Shores; and a grandchild, Misti Eve Evans.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Miller of the home; a son, Wayne Arthur Miller (Sammilyn) of Cameron, Mo.; a daughter, Karen Miller of Kansas City; sisters, Anita Spicer Stafford of Cameron, Mo.; and Marge Cerinich of Longmont, Colo.; one grandson, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Mo. Interment in the Savannah, Mo., Cemetery." St Joseph News-Press, November 14, 2009
