Jennings: A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Hathaway, LA on Thursday, January 19, 2012 @ 10 AM honoring the life of David Chaisson, age 63 of Hathaway. David was called to Heaven January 17, 2012 while in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family he loved so dearly. David will be laid to rest in the Raymond-Hathaway Community Cemetery with _____ officiating his funeral mass. He will be honored with full military rites.

David was born in Welsh, LA to the late Elridge Chaisson and the late Effie Deshotel Chaisson on May 31, 1949. He served his country honorably as a Ranger during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. David met the person he would spend his life with, Linda LeJeune, at a very young age and they were married in October of 1968 and had two wonderful children together. He also pursued his love for horses. He was a race horse breeder and rancher. David was an outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends. They shared many wonderful memories together and he will be dearly missed. David was survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Linda LeJeune Chaisson, one son David Dale Chaisson, Jr., and one daughter, Terri Chaisson Duplichan all of Hathaway. He was a loving grandfather to three grandchildren, Tabetha, Morgan, and Sage Guillory of Lake Arthur and the brother to Cathy Richard of Colorado and Sarah Meyer of Scott, LA.

David was welcomed into Heaven by his family whom preceded him in death: his parents, Elridge and Effie D. Chaisson; and one brother, Allen Chaisson.
